Regenerative medicine with adult stem cells

The “Deutsches Ärzteblatt” published a review article on regenerative medicine with adult stem cells from the bone marrow. It is said that regenerative medicine is used for repairing damaged organs and that stem cells from the bone marrow can be applied for these purposes. It is reasoned that therapies with bone marrow stem cells for organ regenerations are effective but that there still are unanswered questions.
